Specularite Ore Beneficiation Studies

Specularite Ore is a rare iron mineral in this region. Due to its low magnetic susceptibility and difficult crystal structure, it has different beneficiation behavioura than standard hematite ores. It is used in qualified metallurgical raw material industry and paint industry.

As the main factor, the desired result can be achieved in different grain sizes and magnetic field strength levels, depending on the ore mineralogy structure.

In here specularite beneficiation studies that has been completed in the Eastern Aegean; high field intensity slon type electromagnetic separators are used. Work on obtaining the final product %65Fe with maximum product recovery with different matrix structures, magnetic field intensities and slurry ratios has been completed and investment studies have been started.
